What do we need from you to get your products on-line? A completed registration form, good pictures and a list of your products.

Regisration Form
By completing the registration form you will tell us all we need to know about how you want to do business, how you want to get paid, what your minimum order is, how to calculate shipping charges, etc.

Good Pictures
Just like mail order, people want to see what they are getting. We need high quality photographs, one per product.

Ideally we would like you to send us two digital copies of each photograph, one 72 dpi GIF image no larger than 100 pixels by 100 pixels and one 72 dpi GIF or JPEG no larger than 500 pixels wide.

The naming convention we use for the pictures is <SKU>.gif or <SKU>.jpg for the larger picture and <SKU>i.gif for the smaller picture. For each product in the list you would replace <SKU> with it's unique product number or SKU. So if you have 100 products, you would send us 200 digital images.

If you don't have digital copies you can send us high quality photographs and we will scan them for you. We prefer 4x5 or 35mm transparencies.

If you have high resolution digital images in TIF format you can send them to us and we will convert them for you.

You can send us files by email to sales@craftz.com, on floppy disks, or 100Mb Iomega Zip disks. The Zip disks can be either Macintosh or PC format.

When sending us photographs, please send them insured and clearly mark each photograph with it's SKU or product number.

 



Product List or Database
Do you know how to use Microsoft Excel? Great!

We've designed the entire system to operate from Excel spreadsheets that are easy for you to update and send us. For every item you want to sell, there will be one line in the spreadsheet. Whenever you want to add or delete items all you will have to do is send us another spreadsheet and the photographs.

Each product must have a unique product number or SKU that will be used to tell one product from another. Each combination of product/color/shape must have it's one unique product number or SKU.

The spreadsheet or database consists of the following columns:

  • The word "artist"
  • Your unique vendor number given to you by Craftz.com
  • The unique product number or SKU
  • The product categorySee Note
  • The name/title of the product
  • A longer description of the product
  • The cost of this item
  • Whether this item is taxable (either the word Yes or No )
  • The shipping and handling cost of this item if your shipping costs vary from item to item
NoteYou can divide your products into different categories if you want, such as "cups", "bowls", "platter", "prints", etc. You can also use the category to organize your work by theme, such as "Beach Scenes", "Medieval", etc.
