Educating the public
Our first goal is to educate the public about art glass. We will accomplish this mission by producing public exhibitions of glass art in the Bay Area and inviting the public into a working glass studio for classes and demonstrations. BAGI's second goal is to assist the careers of up-and-coming glass artists through a scholarship program, renting studio time to working artists, and supporting Bay Area glass education programs.

Helping Artists
We plan to make BAGI the Bay Area's center for glass art. We provide a place for glass artists to try out new ideas, meet other artists, and get help exhibiting their work. Each year, glass artists graduate from Bay Area universities. Once out of school, they need a facility to pursue their art. BAGI will fulfill this need. We are also working towards establishing a scholarship program for glass art students.
